Groundbreaking Ceremonies – Ronald Mcdonald House of Connecticut

We are full steam ahead on the development of a new Ronald McDonald House of CT to replace the existing 12-bedroom House. Groundbreaking Ceremonies for our new Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut took place Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the new location — 860 Howard Avenue, New Haven, CT.

There is nothing simple about building a new House but we have a vision of moving in by May, 2017. To do that, we have asked all of our backers to “grab an oar” and pull as hard as they can so that we can reach our $5 million capital campaign goal. With the lead pledge of $1 million from our McDonald’s Owner/Operators and the generosity of many, we have now raised over $4 million. The McDonald’s Owner Operators have just given us a Challenge Grant to urge everyone to help us complete our fundraising for the Capital Campaign. For every dollar that is donated to the campaign; they will give a dollar matching gift up to $1 Million.

For the next 100 years, we will serve 1000’s of families whose children are stricken with a life–threatening illness.
